Call Center VoIP & SIP Termination Routes

Call center VoIP and SIP termination routes for predictive dialers and outbound campaigns: CPS, concurrency, ASR/ACD/PDD, billing and route testing.

What is call-center VoIP termination?

Call-center VoIP termination is wholesale SIP voice termination sized and tested for predictive-dialer and high-volume outbound traffic, rather than a single office phone line. The distinguishing requirements are capacity (CPS and concurrent channels) and route consistency at volume, not just a low per-minute rate.

CPS and concurrent calls

CPS (calls per second) is how fast your dialer can originate new call attempts; concurrent calls is how many calls can be in progress at once. A predictive dialer typically needs both stated explicitly by its carrier — see how much SIP CPS do I need for how to estimate your real requirement, including a free calculator.

ASR, ACD and PDD

ASR (Answer Seizure Ratio) is the percentage of attempted calls that connect. ACD (Average Call Duration) is the average length of connected calls. PDD (Post-Dial Delay) is the time between dialing and the call beginning to ring or connect. All three vary by destination and by traffic type, and none of them alone proves route quality — see route testing for how to check them on your own traffic before committing volume.

Billing increments

Call-center campaigns with many short calls are especially sensitive to billing increment (1/1, 6/6, 30/6, 60/60) — see the billing increment calculator to see the real cost difference for your own average call duration.

CLI and NCLI

Outbound call-center traffic where the destination needs to recognize the calling number should generally use CLI routes rather than NCLI — see CLI & NCLI routes explained.

Dialer and PBX compatibility

These routes connect over standard SIP and are compatible with VICIdial, Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX, other predictive dialers, and custom SIP-based dialers. CallCenterBoost is not certified by, or an official partner of, any specific dialer or PBX vendor — compatibility is a function of standard SIP, not a formal certification.

Provisioning workflow

  1. Choose destination or prefix.
  2. Review rate and billing.
  3. Submit expected volume, CPS/concurrency and lawful traffic description.
  4. Approved customers can receive SIP credentials or IP-auth provisioning through the client portal.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know what CPS I need for my dialer?

Use the CPS and concurrent-call calculator with your attempted-calls-per-second and average call duration — CPS (how fast you can originate attempts) and concurrent calls (how many are in progress at once) are different limits and both matter for a predictive dialer.

Are these routes compatible with VICIdial?

Yes, over standard SIP — compatibility is a function of standard SIP support, not a formal certification or partnership with any specific dialer or PBX vendor (VICIdial, Asterisk, FreePBX, 3CX and custom SIP dialers all connect the same way).

What do ASR, ACD and PDD actually measure?

ASR (Answer Seizure Ratio) is the percentage of attempts that connect; ACD (Average Call Duration) is the average length of connected calls; PDD (Post-Dial Delay) is the time before a call begins to ring or connect. None of the three alone proves route quality — test your own traffic to check them.

Can I test call quality before committing production volume?

Yes — request a route test with your traffic profile, expected CPS and concurrency before sending production call-center traffic.
